In August 2023, Clay County District Schools opened our 43rd school facility – the newly constructed Spring Park Elementary School located on CR 315. Designed to provide space for expected growth in the area, Spring Park Elementary provides relief to Lake Asbury Elementary, Paterson Elementary, Rideout Elementary, Charles E. Bennett Elementary and Thunderbolt Elementary School.

Spring Park Elementary is a $40M state of the art facility which will serve approximately 862 students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.

The Clay County School Board at the December 20th Special Board meeting, reviewed boundary change options required for the opening of Spring Park Elementary in August 2023, and decided Option B as the best option(see map below).

Advertisement Announcement:

PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ADOPTION AND APPROVAL OF SPRING PARK ELEMENTARY ATTENDANCE ZONE AND REVISIONS TO THE SURROUNDING IMPACTED SCHOOLS’ ZONES 

Spring Park Elementary School, located at 3530 County Road 315, Green Cove Springs, FL, is scheduled to open August 2023.  As a result, an attendance zone must be created and the surrounding impacted schools’ zones must be revised.

The School Board of Clay County is considering adopting and approving a resolution for the recommended Spring Park Elementary attendance zone and the surrounding impacted schools’ zones.  The map listed below represents the Clay County School Board’s recommended zones.   A public hearing will be scheduled on this topic Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Teacher Training Center at Fleming Island High School, 2233 Village Square Parkway, Fleming Island, FL  32003.
